On this side of Red HIll I had previously noticed two groups of choughs - one of 6 (including one young one) and a group of around 13 (two young). I was surprised to see 20 choughs, and wondered if the two groups had joined together for the day. The following day, the choughs were back, but not as many (more than 6, though).
