Pair calling quietly from nearby tree, then flew into this tree at about 7.40pm. Waited warily as noisy miners were around, then male flew to this hollow (on side closest to houses). He put his head in twice, but I could not see any jerky feeding movements. Then a noisy miner swooped him and he flew up to higher branches, where he and the female chewed bark for a while (photo 5) before flying off at about 8.15pm . Photo 4 included to show shape of hollow. Same tree as sightings 4247211 and 4247254. Gang-gangs often seen flying to and from these trees, also noted by Flutteringsparrow2.
