User's notes

Location is approximate. I heard a sound behind me, and turned and saw this very small skink looking rather awkward, but it did not move. I was not sure if it was stuck or hurt, so after a quick pic I put the camera away, and took a step toward it, and it immediately disappeared. Did not get to see upper surface or tail, but I'm guessing a Boulenger's Skink?

Yes you are correct with the ID suggestion - Morethia boulengeri. This is a male showing the orange-reddish breeding colour on the throat.
