Sighted on the side of a handrail in ANBG's Rainforest Gully. This insect appears to be similar to that of sighting 4234824, which was recorded close by, 7 days earlier . Not sure if this sighting could be the same individual in the same area some 7 days later.
As for the other sighting, it is different from other Mutillidae sp. The eyes are so small. How about something like Pristocera sp. (genus). It doesn't seem to occur in Australia, but it is very similar in appearance: https://bugguide.net/node/view/48151
