I pretty surprised to see this when I walked off the beaten track! Temperature was 11ºC, but felt like 3ºC. I thought winter was a safe time to wander around without reptiles potentially making life interesting!

There is no "safe" time, even in cold weather if it is a nice sunny day some reptiles can still be expected to take advantage of a warm spot if it exists.
