I think it was interation that we saw. If it was aggression i would think it would have lasted longer?

Great photo! Most likely some shenanigans between a pair as it is breeding season for these birds. Keep an eye out for a nest!

Thanks, i have just had a look at some records i have and in 2014 at Jerrabomberra Wetlands the Kites were copulating in April-May and the 3 young fledged in June.
The pair that i kept an eye on in Symonston in 2014 the first brood of 3 fledged in September and their second brood of 3 fledged in December.
