Now that Hedera hibernica is recognised in the ACT should I go back and try for better photos? There will be a problem with mapping on Field Maps with the two species. Isn’t there another ‘non-invasive’ Hedera used in landscaping? I hand pull small plants and record them as English ivy (if I bother to report).

@SilkeSma posted a photo on ACT & SE NSW Invasive Plants Facebook page in October 2023 showing Hedera canariensis planted in landscaping near the Conservation Council. Comment said this was not invasive, but MIS 25 Municipal Infrastructure Standard has deleted Hedera canariensis form Tricolour from approved plants because it is invasive. There is no non-variegated form listed. Australia Plants Online says it can't ship this product to the ACT. Perhaps @HarleyB can comment.

The only hedera listed on the ACT prohibited plants list currently is H.helix. I am not aware of any updates to the prohibited list to include H. Canariensis or H.hibernica. I'm happy for online plant businesses to not ship any hedera species into the ACT though.
