Thanks Youning

The name Trigonidium is neuter in gender; the species name should agree in gender, so be 'australianum'.

KIm, the ALA has it as Trigonidium (Trigonidium) australiana. But we can change it if you wish.

Michael, I'll leave it up to Youning to go with the names he uses.

Kim is correct, the name supposes to agree in gender, but we tend to follow the OSF

I have to correct my previous ID, this one may not be T. australiana, I just received a large macropterous male with different genitalia collected from my friend's property in Lyons. This female also looks more robust and slender to me. Trigonidium is a complex group, pattern and colour can be vary within species according to the age, they also have both short-winged and long-winged form.

Undescribed species novum. We now have specimens from Mongarlow

Hi Roger. Should we separate out this sighting from other Trigonidium sp. (genus) and give it a different name, something like "Trigonidium undescibed sp." ?

Yes that would be a good idea Michael. I suggest Trigonidium sp. novum but you can use undescribed species as well. Its worth elevating to a significant sighting because of its undescribed status.

Hi Roger. I've called it Trigonidium sp. novum (undescribed) & marked it as significant.
