These are a very varied species. Some have the red side stripe but very unusual to extend to the tail.

This looks very like P. pagenstecheri. Breeding male P. entrecasteauxii can have a partial red stripe on side but also have reddish undersides (belly) when in breeding colouration in autumn. By comparison pagenstecheri get the longer red stripe along the side and onto the tail but no red on belly. P. pagenstecheri is a grassland species - was it found in grassland?
