User's notes

This would have previously been called Uromycladium tepperianum which has now been split into 16 new species plus Uromycladium tepperianum sensu stricto. Microscopically these 17 species pretty much all look the same, in that they refer to species of Uromycladium that produce three teliospores per pedicel and form galls on their hosts. The species in this group are separated based on the host they occur on. See: Doungsa-ard, C.; McTaggart, A.R.; Geering, A.D.W.; Shivas, R.G. (2018) Diversity of gall-forming rusts (Uromycladium, Pucciniales) on Acacia in Australia, Persoonia Volume 40, June 2018, pp. 221-238. Based on advice from Drs McTaggart and Shivas species of Uromycladium that produce three teliospores per pedicel on Acacia hosts for which the molecular work is yet to be done are best considered as Uromycladium tepperianum s.lat.
