Loosely bound nest. Adjacent nest had sand/gravel. Normal appearing construction on tree.

Hi Mike, did the nest have any carton on nearby trees? Was the material over the nest just loose fragments? Was the nest in a more open area or more forested? Did you GPS the location? Cheers, Jon

I thought this was strange, but they also incorporated sand in a nest nearby. There was normal material on the tree.
But see the other sighting where they are building on a thistle.
