These last four images are of the same plant. It is the second of two plant images that I posted on Wednesday. I've posted them in the hope of providing more clarity.

For some reason the petals and dorsal sepal that make up the hood have split, possibly from being damaged or just old age.

The dorsal sepal is unusually long. It doesn't usually extend much beyond the petals in this species. The hood has probably split because this sepal is malformed.
