Appeared to be larger than a Fan-tailed Cuckoo and the host species (Leaden Flycatcher) more indicative of a Pallid Cuckoo

Hi all, I know this is an old record but stumbled across it and definitely doesn't look like a Fan-tailed Cuckoo. Automatic reaction was Brush. Please let me know if you agree or if you think this bird is a Fan-tailed vs Brush.

Would we expect brush to breed down here as opposed to up in the higher parts of Namadgi?

There are 2 other CNM records of juveniles from Red Hill and Aranda Bushland and I have also seen them out at Wamboin, so I think it would be plausible for it to be Brush based on location.

There are quite a few records of Brush Cuckoos at Mulligans Flat, and I saw, heard and photographed one in Jan 2017, and recall it was close to the border with Gooroo (see https://ebird.org/checklist/S33751903), so definitely could be Brush.

I agree with Brush so happy to confirm if we all agree?
