While this is certainly a female Amegilla, I can't see anything that would eliminate A. asserta as a possibility.

After looking at the latest scientific paper Leijs R, Batley M, Hogendoorn K (2017) The genus Amegilla (Hymenoptera, Apidae, Anthophorini) in Australia: A revision of the subgenera Notomegilla and Zonamegilla. ZooKeys 653: 79-140. https://doi.org/10.3897/zookeys.653.11177 I know I couldn't identify to species from photos (or probably any other way). Just as well the bees can.
