Growing in a flowing seepage area adjacent to the road. Mucilage was made visible using an iodine solution

Stephen Skinner of the NSW Herbarium said "3371470 is Paralella novae zealandiae E.A. Flint. It belongs to the Tetrasporales, in the Green Algae proper. Not sure we know anything much about its reproduction. See Entwisle and Skinner 2001 Telopea, 9: 725-739."
