Stephen Skinner of the NSW Herbarium said "this appears to be another desmid, Netrium digitus, but could be a broad form of Clostreium intermedium. I'm not a desmid expert! Please remember that these determinations are done without microscopic examination on my part; I don't know any measurements, and there is often little reproductive information in the pictures. I also don't have precise locations or any water data
