Filamentous algae growing on rocks in the Cotter River. Images recorded with 10x, 20x, 40x and 60x objectives. Algal cells were 25-30 µm wide and 59-114 µm long

Stephen Skinner of the nSW Herbarium said "Spirogyra species...and cannot go further without reproductive material; they are lovely pictures."
