Filed here by prey rather than predator - trying to ID the cicada. It was a big robberfly, and struggled to fly carrying this load.

Thanks for the ID, lpopple! A brown firetail. I think a few bio specialties could take a leaf out of the Cicadoidean notebook when it comes to common naming. Cicadas have the best.
