User's notes

On the lower slopes of Mt Tennant, in Namadgi NP. This beetle was most unusual in that when I was taking the photographs, it made a loud buzzing sound. Body length 18-21mm.

Identified as Dasygnathus sp. by Tom Weir of CSIRO, who said it is most likely D. trituberculatus which is recorded from this region.
