Thanks Ryu - much appreciated - the Stromolo - Molonglo area seems to be a bit of a stronghold for White-fronted Chat in the ACT -good to see that they can utilise a newly constructed habitat
No probs. The area around Stromlo definitely, out to the arboretum, and seems to be liking the new ponds. The habitat they are choosing is quite interesting, and I've been surprised by the recent reports from Hume around the ponds that seem to have appeared out of nowhere- maybe over the border, again doesn't seem like great habitat in hume, but habitat nonetheless which is shrinking fast with the new buildings. Hopefully the wetland and the little remnant woodland will remain and flourish and be enough for them. 3 chats, a flame robin, and a restless flycatcher were all reported there (Hume ponds) today.
