The photos are not detailed enough to decide whether these are Xanthorrhoea australis or Xanthorrhoea glauca.

Frank Ingwersen, who conducted a vegetation survey at Tidbinbilla in 1979 identified the species as Xanthorrhoea australis. What sort of details are needed to distinguish between the 2 species?

Betty the ACT Census for Vascular Plants only lists Xanthorrhoea glauca angustifolia has occurring in the ACT. However the distribution in both Flora of NSW and The atlas of Living Australia would seem to include the ACT - are you aware of both occurring in the ACT.
Wendy the distinguishing difference between the two seems to be the shape and hairiness of the bracts that fill out the flowers on the flowering spike.
