Unfortunately few people have seen this lizard with a global population of only a few hundred and all in grasslands of Canberra and Queanbeyan, with a further genetically distinct relative in the Cooma area. It's camouflage is amazing and is almost unspotable against a grassland background.

Michael, how good is your estimate of a few hundred. I have lost touch with the progress on the the captive breeding program at Canberra University. It is something that there should be more focus on. Geoff
