I'm an amateur so 'Spencer's Skink' is my best guess, but really I could be way off.... The skink was a bit longer than my hand (wrist to middle finger) to give a rough impression on its size, so maybe 6-7-8 inches long as rough estimate. Kind regards, Roy :-)
Roy it will be great to have a record of the lizards on Red Hill, so don't worry about not knowing what species it is you can always select the "I don't know" option and Geoff will do the ID for us. That is what Canberra Nature Map is all about. The Key is to provide side-on head shots, shots of the feet and toes and an overall body shot - as you have done - thanks for this
Dear Geoff Robertson, Michael Mulvaney and John Wombey, my personal thanks for your interest and kind support, a very interesting and exciting result for Canberra Nature Map.
