When Jean, Eyal and myself checked this population on Thursday, my impression was that the teeth on the labellum were shorter than the plants on Black Mountain.
Interesting to know Tony. Would your guess be it's just a slight variation in local conditions impacting how the plant develops? Also there were many more fully developed flowers at the Black Mountain colonies this year. It seems more moist at Black Mountain where as the Majura colony isn't as well protected, but seems to have more leaves!
I woudn't regard it as anything other than a minor genetic difference between two isolated populations. Nor would I see anything unusual about number of flowers as typically clonal colonies usual have only a very small proportion of flowering plants.
