Gang-gang research needs your help

Canbera Nature Mappers have already provided much of what is known about Gang-gang nesting ecology and have directly aided the local conservation of this magnificant bird. This Cockatoo has been nominated as nationally endangered and around a third of its habitat was severely burnt in the 2019/2020 fires. We need to know more about this Canberra Icon in order to better conserve it. We hope to be inundated with sighting of feeding Gang-gangs to help us better understand its diet and would like to locate nest trees in remote and burnt areas that can be compared against the breeding success at the Canberra nest hollows you helped us identify previously. More information is at

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

There was a Canberra Times article saying glossy black cockatoos and gang gangs were being considered for listing as endangered. This was right next to an article about de opment on Red Hill which seems to be on gang gang nesting sites or at least habitat. Who will win?
