Start: 10:40am End: 11:25am Includes record ID#: 4560452 case-moth on flatweed; 4560453 bee on pink convolvulus; 4560454 Bee on pink convolvulus; 4560455 beetle on flatweed; 4560456 Beetle on flatweed ; FoG weeders were present and noted that all the pollinators, esp butterflies and moths were out feeding, around 9am just as the clouds cleared. I saw a lot but most were hiding in grass and flew up when disturbed. very few were feeding. Larger butterflies such as meadow argus were actively defending territory. 8 European honey bees on flatweeds & SJW; 2 Small black native bees on fleabane, which buzzed while flying, & 1 on pink convolvulus; Small blue-grey butterflies seen on SJW flowers, flatweed, convolvulus, and Wahlenbergia.
