Onitis aygulus (Aygulus dung beetle)
A southern African species introduced to assist in the burial of cattle dung. The program was headed by CSIRO, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Dung_Beetle_Project
Body 20-25mm long; pronotum dark brown, often with a coppery or green sheen; elytra light brown to golden. The clypeal ridge (across the front spade-shaped part of the head) is nearer to the front of the head than to the frontal ridge (across the head further back, near the eyes). The male has a 2-pointed spur on the hind femur.
