Evansomyia sp. (genus) (Stiletto fly)

Notes from Christine Lambkin: Delicate flies with bright silver triangle on back of head with black above; 2 narrow shining silver stripes joining posteriorly on glossy black thorax; antennae longer than head, fine, first and third segments both long, thin cylinders & about equal length; sub-apical seta on hind femur, banding on wings less distinct, venation – open m3 (that you can’t see), no orange laterally on thorax and orange abdomen in both sexes.
