Cyphagogus sp. (Brentid weevil)

Members of the tribe Cyphagogini is unusual among weevils in that they are kleptoparasites of other weevils. Wood-boring weevils in the Scolytinae and Platypodinae cultivate and feed (as larvae and adults) on ambrosia fungi in their tunnels; the cyphagogine weevils invade and take over the tunnels, forcing out the original owners and feeding on the fungi.
