 Bidyanus bidyanus (Silver Perch)

 Family: Terapontidae (Grunters or Tiger Perch)

 Status: Native NSW: Vulnerable; ACT: Endangered; and Commonwealth (EPBC) Critically endangered.

 Size: Usual length 30-40 cm and weight of 0.5-1.5 kg, but have been recorded up to 8 kg.

 Description: Moderate to large fish.

 

 

 

Location: Once widespread and abundant throughout most of the Murray-Darling river system, but has declined to isolated sites. Stocked into impoundments, such as dams and large silt traps, in the CNM Region.
