Austroepigomphus praeruptus (Twin-spot Hunter)

The Twin-spot Hunter occurs predominantly in inland south-eastern Queensland and inland north-eastern NSW. The nearest records to the ACT in the Atlas of Living Australia (until now) are from Sydney (NSW), and there is a very isolated record from half way between Euroa and Shepparton (VIC). It inhabits sluggish streams and rivers, including isolated riverine pools.
