LBH. see above says the status os this species is 'controversial'. The species is not listed on the Australian Faunal Directory under Perthida monophththalma.

Yes I saw that comment. In BOLD there are a number of Perthida with ANIC numbers but none look like a match and no Perthida monophthalma. BOLD has TineaX monophthalma, specimens from around here and look to be a match https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimens.php?taxid=409485

Yes, Thanks Dianne. There seems to be two 'clades]'of Tinea genus recognised on BOLD (Hobern).

I wonder if Tinea monophthalma (or whatever it ends up being called) isn't 2 sp - white one and yellower one ?
