It is not clear how to ID species from larva. Going by iNat moth observations Pterolocera amplicornis occurs in the southern half of Victoria and Tasmania. BOLD (Hobern) does list the species for N.S.W. & A.C.T. . Moths of Victoria Pt. 1 treated the lined Pterolocera as a group needing further research as they, moths and larvae, are quite variable. Pterolocera leucocera is the species found in New South Wales (iNat & BOLD (Hobern)). It may be worth photographing the larval markings in the head and tail end which MAY help separate them, but there is need to raise a variety of these larvae to help with larva - adult link.
