First sighting of this species for NatureMapr and is (so far) the most inland record in New South Wales.

User's notes

Culms not septate. Large stand, fruiting and re-establishing across bed of semi-permanent lagoon. Spatially distinct from Machaerina articulata which is also present. Normally a coastal zone species. Specimen collected and identified (Jeremy Bruhl, UNE and Helen Kennedy, Aust Nat Herbarium).
