I think African Boxthorn; the thorns are too long for hawthorn; we removed AB from close by; AB is semi-deciduous and can loose leaves in winter

The boxthorn I have seen in the last month have green leaves and flowers.

hm Mike I tackled firethorns yesterday but they have definitely leaves. This specimen is close to Clancy's track so I hope we tackle in spring, we should see in spring; there are Sweet Briars close by which I couldn't record...
