4 discrete patches growing with other lichen on acidic, siliceous rock. Has visual similarities to both Licenora farinacea and Ochrolechia africana, both reportedly found in the ACT but the latter predominantly grows on wood or bark and is a tropical to subtropical species. Several sightings of Licenora farinacea in this area are reported by the Australian Biological Resources Study at https://www.anbg.gov.au/abrs/lichenlist/FLORA%2056A/Lecanora_farinacea.html
