User's notes

Gully hollow fledglings (January). First photo - morning that the female fledged (fledging not observed). The female chick fledged a day after her brother, and I'd found the male fledgling earlier that morning (photos 3&4). He was tired, and snoozed a lot. I had an idea of the area where the female may have fledged, and managed to find her late that day. The parents were busy flying between each tree that contained one of their progeny (about two hundred metres apart), feeding and preening them. Mum looked exhausted at the end of the day (photo 5) - I can well imagine why!
