This 5mm bird-dropping spider at ANBG's Rainforest Gully is seen in its typical ambush posture, sitting with its body raised up at an angle. This elevates its eyes and enhances its view of approaching predators or prey. In these images the spider has its legs drawn up around its head ready to strike at prey, and its eyes are visible looking out through the legs. The first image is a side view, the second image a rear view, and the third and final images show the front view.
