User's notes

The fledgling has crowned! After our weeks of intense observations, I was excited to see this one eye (white ringed), and bright yellow cheek, just visible above the bottom rim of the hollow mouth. Then, around 5.35pm, the parents and sub-adult flew in, with the sub-adult begging (it had been silent for the past week). Dad, then mum, backed down into the hollow to feed, indicating the chick had moved deep into the hollow, and is not yet feeding at the mouth of the hollow.
