Assuming this is the same adult male that we have sighted 3 times in the last week in this tree and another favourite tree, he has been without his smaller female mate who we have sighted previously, usually perched adjacent to him. It seems his female mate might have met her demise. A sad outcome given their success in raising two offspring in each of the last 2 years.
