Third photo shows where a previous attempt at control has failed, with a trunk and a clump of juvenile foliage growing from a stump.

https://canberra.naturemapr.org/users/22862, this was cut by PCS and the cut was not or not sufficiently treated with herbicide. I would NEVER cut a eucalyptus with a hand saw, it is far too slow. I would frill and fill (the cut pockets with Glyphosate mix). I've seen contractors cutting eucs mainly Blakely's Red gums along power line easements without herbicide treatment; the result was > 10 stems coppice growth where there was 1 stem before.
