Significant sighting

MichaelBedingfield noted:

3 Feb 2026

It has most likely dispersed from the introduced population at Mulligans Flat. But an urban record of a Bush Stone Curlew is significant.

Thank you Bec for this significant sighting of a bush stone-curlew. As Michael said, it is most likely dispersed from the reintroduced population at Mulligans Flat. January-March appears to be the peak time for dispersal, as subadults leave their natal territories.
