A female was sitting very high on a dead branch and was 'talking' to another bird. I couldn't see a male nearby so I waited and eventually a male appeared from the hollow at the base of the branch. They said hello and then she disappeared inside and he took her waiting place. I heard a few 'housekeeping' sounds, but nothing that sounded like chicks.

Thanks Cath I did pole this and found it empty about a month ago but its height made it difficult so I may have missed something
