The cicada seemed too large for a Silver Princess - about 40mm. I was wondering if it could have been a Clicking Ambertail?

The cicada is really stretched out, which makes its size look much larger than normal. Genitalia and markings look right for Yoyetta celis and are quite distinct from Yoyetta roberstsonae or other candidates in the area.

ok. Thanks for that detailed information.

No worries. The cicada’s unusual posture is most likely a reaction to it having been injected with digestive enzymes.
