the creature has been "identified" by my {17 yrs) granddaughter as the butterfly Orchard Swallowtail(?). I have a photo on my "new" Samsung mobile phone but i am only able to (my failings) share it via WhatsApp!

Hi @intouch you can use your phone internet to get to Canberra Nature Map or directly to https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4715838. Once you log in you can edit the sighting and add the photo from your camera Gallery. Then a moderator will be able to see it and identify it (Papilio aegeus) and even tell you whether it is a male or female.
If you are keen to add lots of sightings, it is easier to download the app and record more directly.
