Each morning (around 7.45am) this week there have been around 20-50 cicadas on the outside wall of this bus shelter near corner Maitland and Madigan St, Hackett near Blue Gum Community School. They were not calling but there were many calling in near by eucalypts. By late morning they had moved. There were no discarded skins - perhaps roosting on the wall overnight as it was warmer?
