User's notes

New nest hollow - Gully Hollow. Following some gang-gang chatter, I found one male resting in this hollow-bearing tree, and another in a nearby tree, which soon flew off. Shortly afterwards, the remaining male flew to this branch hollow, and moved quickly down into the hollow. There were no noises inside the hollow that indicated chewing. I watched the entrance for 3+ mins, no sign of male. I looked down at my phone, and heard the soft call of a gang-gang leaving the nest, looked up, and saw the grey wings of a gang-gang (unknown if male or female), gliding away. Sigh. Coming back later, I was surprised to find that a female was now in the hollow! So this is a working nest hollow. Of interest is that I believe this female could be Section 66 female, Cheeky Rose, as I saw her at this tree last year, I think?
