Seeing some feathers scattered on the ground, I assumed the predator and prey were long gone, but was a bit more alert as I walked. A bit of a squawk from a noisy miner at the same time as I looked up - and there was the falcon! After a while, the bird took off down the hill, prey (I assume noisy miner), firmly gripped. Around 5 minutes later I heard a raven caw, and saw the falcon flying up the hill, prey still clutched, pursued by the raven.
