The dot pattern suggests this is simply an Utetheisa (genus) species, but with the red dot markings showing only extremely faintly or not at all. I believe I have seen this lack of red markings in Utetheisa (genus) specimens before.

I wondered about the lack of red markings. I thought they might have faded with age, but the moth doesn't look worn.

Possibly the result of recent heavy rain ??? In my experience these moths hang about in grass (if not visiting flowers) - not much cover and hostile environment when long and wet.
