Digging a hole just next to the path - not a good location! I assume going to lay eggs there? The individual in third pic was on the other side of the road, saw it flicking dirt, so possibly it was covering its eggs?? But then trying to cross the road. There were several loud cars and motor bike on the road, and a few minutes later I found a dead individual in the middle of the road, so I assume this one made a poorly timed dash. :(
